Great news! The new changing rooms at Selwyn Reserve, Mission Bay Beach are done. It is great to have a comfortable place to change before going for a Kayak or SUP in Mission Bay. The refurbishments on Selwyn Reserve changerooms are complete and we now have a much brighter, more accessible public facility. Improvements include: 4 additional toilets, 8 new showers, another urinal and 2 baby change tables. Roofing, drainage and seismic strengthening were also undertaken. You’ll notice that even the red brick has been restored.

Selwyn Reserve is a large, popular park and beach. With lots of well-established trees around the park this is the perfect spot for recreational activity and picnicking.

Access both car parks from Tamaki Drive. Pedestrians can also access from multiple points along Tamaki Drive.

A playground, toilets and changing rooms, car parks, fitness equipment, seating and picnic tables, fountain, drinking fountains, and barbecues are inside the park.

The reserve also features a three bronze sea monsters gushing water, The Trevor Moss Davis Memorial Fountain is built from Sicilian marble and designed to capture the light. With the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto Island serving as a backdop, the fountain shoots jets of water up to 40 feet in the air while at night the fountain offers a light show. During the warmer months, it acts a paddling pool for younger children.
